With Mount Yotei views from the lounge and the sound of the nearby creek, this house is a piece of mountain paradise.
The house takes inspiration from one of the rarest birds in the world, the Hokkaido Owl. To the indigenous Ainu people of Hokkaido, this owl is the spiritual protector of the area.
The Woulse was designed with cutting-edge thermal technology, along with superb insulation, heated floors and triple-glazed windows.
Eco-friendly heating and water systems mean you can feel comfortable you’re leaving a minimal environmental footprint in this pristine winter environment.
The Woulse is a warm and welcoming abode to return to after a day on the mountain. It is decked out with all the modern comforts and facilities you would expect in modern ski accommodation, with traditional design features like a deep “ofuro” bath and shower in a wood-panelled bathroom.
